$30,000 sign-on bonus with a 3-year work commitment Role and Department

Department Details: Come work closely with our pediatric cardiologist on pediatric echo procedures. The person in this role will perform scans within inpatient and outpatient settings. The schedule will include a rotation for call on weekends, evenings, and holidays. Weekend days may be included. Job Summary

Performs all required ultrasound and clinical evaluations at a technical level requiring limited supervision. Maintains a high standard of medical ethics and continually increases knowledge of pediatric cardiac disease and new techniques. Performs clinical assessments and diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations. Utilizes cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images. Ensures patient safety and comfort while in the sonographer's care. Assists with maintenance of laboratory accreditation. Establishes and maintains ethical relationships with patients, co-workers, physicians, and peers. Performs procedures at hospital and outreach mobile sites; outreach may require driving and/or flying with or without accompanying physicians; overnight stays as necessary. Performs echocardiography tests and procedures in accordance with the American Society of Echocardiography standards. Trains and orients new employees and/or sonography students. Maintains thorough understanding of ultrasound machine operation and adoption of new sonographic technologies. Interacts professionally with fellow healthcare professionals. Qualifications

Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent experience is required. Minimum of one year of experience working independently in adult echocardiography is required. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS AE) certification is required. RDCS PE (Pediatric) or must be obtained within 12 months of training with ARDMS or CCI is required. If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board is required.
