The Laboratory Supervisor is a skilled professional that practices the science of measurement and applies metrology principles in performing calibrations, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance (PM), and repair of biomedical and general-purpose measuring and test equipment (M&TE), including, instruments, meters, gauges, and other testing devices, in the fields of electrical, electronic, DC-Low Frequency, temperature, pressure, flow, force, mass, light, dimensional, and other Metrology disciplines.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory operations to ensure calibration activities are performed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company standards. Assign, prioritize, and monitor staff workload; provide mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback. Perform and oversee complex calibrations of biomedical and general-purpose M&TE across multiple disciplines (electrical, temperature, pressure, flow, dimensional, etc.). Review and validate calibration results for accuracy, precision, and compliance with applicable standards. Promote compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI Z540.1, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 standards. Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Management, Electronics, Engineering, Metrology, or related technical field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 6 years of experience in calibration/metrology, with at least 2 years in a supervisory, lead, or senior technician role. Strong knowledge of calibration principles, metrology practices, and uncertainty concepts. Proficiency in performing and validating complex calibrations across multiple disciplines (electrical, temperature, pressure, flow, dimensional, etc.). What We Offer
