Patient Biller 4 – UC Davis Health – Patient Financial Services (PFS). Hybrid (on‑site and remote). This role focuses on specialized transplant billing and follow‑up, including bundle billing (UB04, CMS 1500), donor services billing, and proactive account follow‑up across all transplant payers.

Minimum Qualifications

Several years of recent, advanced billing and collections experience in a health care environment.

Billing and collections experience.

Experience analyzing and interpreting managed care contracts and government payer regulations to ensure compliance with contract and regulatory terms.

Thorough understanding of all CMS 1500 and UB04 field requirements.

Detail oriented with demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, set schedules, and complete projects in a timely and cost‑effective manner.

Proficiency in common database, spreadsheet and presentation software (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience accurately adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole and decimal numbers using a calculator.

Typing speed and accuracy.

Demonstrated interpersonal skill to work effectively with internal and external staff in a wide variety of business and clinical areas.

Good verbal and written communication skills to documents and reports clearly and concisely; conveys instructions, directions, and information appropriately.

Experience managing heavy workload with frequently changing priorities and tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Hospital and professional specialty transplant billing and follow‑up experience.

Academic institution or large integrated health system experience.

Salary: $31.24 – $38.82 per hour
