We are seeking a licensed counselor or social worker to provide compassionate care to children, adolescents, and adults. This role will collaborate with a team of highly trained professionals to support our patients as they navigate their journey towards recovery.
What to expect A day hospital is an outpatient psychiatric program that patients attend during weekdays, returning home in the evenings and on weekends. It is a less intensive level of care than inpatient but provides more support than traditional outpatient care. Day hospital treatment can be a step down from inpatient care or an effective level to assist with recovery or avoid hospitalization.
At a Sheppard Pratt Day Hospital, care consists of both individual and group treatment. The programs are group-based, with multiple group therapy sessions throughout the day. Day Hospitals are located on the Towson and Baltimore Washington Campus for Sheppard Pratt.
Responsibilities
Provide group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Offer supportive counseling and monitor progress toward treatment goals.
Collaborate with treatment team members to communicate patient progress and contribute to treatment and aftercare planning.
Participate in family meetings and collaborative care sessions as needed to support holistic patient care.

What we need from you
Must possess one of the following Maryland licenses at time of hire:
Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C)
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
The pay range for this position is $60,569.60 - $105,414.40. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to board certifications and years and level of related experience.
