Job Description: Links Technology is seeking a driven and skilled
A&P Mechanic
to join our client's team in
Englewood, CO.
The client is a leading aerospace and defense firm, renowned for delivering customer-focused technology and best‑of‑breed integrations. The contract is 12 months, with potential for extension or conversion.
Responsibilities
Repair, replacement and maintenance of the key components of aircraft.
Perform checks on mechanical and functional components of the aircraft, including testing and replacement of defective or faulty parts.
Use a variety of tools and equipment to diagnose parts to be replaced, ensuring repairs and maintenance are compliant with national and international standards, while maintaining safety and cleanliness of the hangar or workshop.
Demonstrate knowledge in one of the three main components of aviation maintenance: airframe maintenance, power plant mechanics, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) components.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience.
Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations.
Reliable transportation to and from work locations.
Own tools in good working order.
Ability to speak, read and write in English.
Pass and maintain Class 3 Physical requirements, including a hearing test.
Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications.
Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes, components, systems and engines.
FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends.
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.
Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements: frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps; repeat hand/arm/finger motions; require vision and hearing abilities; lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions: frequently exposed to outdoor elements, fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials, and loud noises; safety sensitive position involving explosives, hazardous materials, and aviation-related tasks.
