Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Chemistry at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in biochemistry at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2026. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and effective educator who is expected to develop an externally funded, nationally recognized research program involving undergraduates, master's students, and students from interdisciplinary doctoral programs. Applicants whose proposed research area and experience complement existing research programs in the department are particularly encouraged to apply. Required Education

A terminal degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field is required by the appointment date. Other Desirables

Applicants in all areas of biochemistry are encouraged to apply but those with proposed research in experimental biochemistry will receive special consideration. In addition, those with postdoctoral experience will receive special consideration. Documents Needed to Apply
