Overview Behavioral Health Clinician (I or II) - School-Based Health Centers, Supervision Available. This is a part-time, 20-hour position with day shift at Boothbay Regional High School and Elementary School in Boothbay Harbor, ME. The role offers flexible scheduling with the option of year-round employment or the school calendar and may be paired with other positions in the Behavioral Health Integration Program. Eligible for student loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps.

Sign-on bonus: MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 for all eligible Behavioral Health Clinicians. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former members are ineligible until greater than 3 months separation. Bonuses may be prorated based on schedule.

The clinician works closely with the school-based health center medical provider and school personnel to support students. This is an integrated care setting aimed at reducing stigma and improving access to care for students in the environments where they spend their day.

Responsibilities

Provide screening, assessments, and focused brief treatment to students who use the health center.

Deliver treatment through individual, family, and group modalities.

Provide curbside consultation to providers and link students to additional services and supports.

Participate in population health activities targeting health and well-being of specific groups.

Collaborate with school personnel and integrated care team to support students’ care needs.

Maintain clinical records and participate in discharge planning and team meetings.

Qualifications and KSAs

Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field.

License/ Certifications:

Level I: LMSW-cc, LCPC-c, or LMFT-c (LMSW-cc, LCPC-c, or LMFT-c) for the State of Maine OPOR.

Level II: Licensed LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT from the Maine OPOR.

Experience:

Level I: Behavioral health experience including internship prior to becoming a conditionally licensed clinician.

Level II: At least two years of behavioral health experience including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician.

Location: Boothbay Regional High School and Boothbay Elementary School, 236 Townsend Ave, Boothbay Harbor, ME.

Team: Works with integrated care team, including psychiatrists and other clinicians; supervision available (individual, group, and psychiatry consultation) and quarterly training.
