Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct and consultative services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders. The ideal candidate will work across general and special education settings, collaborating with teachers, families, and allied professionals to deliver high‑quality interventions and support student success.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations in accordance with referrals and screening results.

Develop, implement, monitor, and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) including speech‑language goals aligned with district and state standards.

Provide both individual and group therapy services targeting articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive communication, pragmatic language, and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) as needed.

Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, school psychologists, parents/guardians, and other specialists to integrate intervention strategies into classroom and home environments.

Participate in and lead IEP meetings, progress review conferences, and multi‑tiered systems of support (MTSS) processes.

Maintain accurate documentation of services provided, student progress, compliance with state/federal regulations, and other required records.

Use data to adjust intervention plans and contribute to continuous program improvement initiatives based on evidence‑based practices.

Provide consultation, training and support to teaching staff, paraprofessionals, and families on speech/language strategies, carryover, and assistive communication tools.

Stay current with best practices in speech‑language pathology, participate in professional development, and support district goals for student achievement.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

Valid Ohio license for Speech‑Language Pathologists issued by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board (OSHPB). Ohio Laws+2esclc.org+2

Valid Ohio educator/licensure certificate for School Speech‑Language Pathologist issued by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) or eligibility to obtain one. esclc.org+1

Strong knowledge of evaluation methods, intervention strategies, assistive/augmentative communication systems, and evidence‑based practices for students with communication disorders.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Experience with or willingness to serve students from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socio‑economic backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working in K‑12 school settings.

Experience with AAC systems, assistive technology, or multi‑sensory communication approaches.

Bilingual or multilingual skills (Spanish preferred) in working with students and families.

Familiarity with MTSS/RTI frameworks and inclusive service delivery models.
