Job Summary Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)–full time (.9 FTE) position at CHI in Omaha, Nebraska. The role provides direct clinical care in Neonatal ICU (NICU) inpatient settings and supports high‑risk infants and their families across multiple campuses (Creighton University Bergan Mercy Medical Center – level III NICU, CHI Lakeside Hospital – level III NICU, CHI Immanuel Hospital – level II NICU). NNPs are credentialed for routine and specialized procedures, prescribe and monitor medications, and collaborate with the medical team on rounds.

Responsibilities

Conduct medical histories, complete physical examinations, and initiate appropriate labs, radiology, and other diagnostics required for infant evaluation.

Perform routine and specialized procedures as credentialed.

Prescribe and monitor medications.

Participate in medical team rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health‑care personnel.

Educate patient families and answer questions about disease, treatments, related drug effects, and safety concerns.

Refer patients to specialists as appropriate.

Assess, diagnose, and manage the care of critically ill neonates in the NICU.

Work collaboratively with a well‑respected interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.

Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required.

Active NE license required.

Board‑certified in BLS, PALS, and NRP required.

Experience with high‑risk infant care preferred but not required.

Pay Range $73.96 – $86.28 per hour
