Clinical service for all neonates admitted to the Level IV and III neonatal intensive care units Primary day-time attending coverage in NICU at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital as well as Ascension St Vincent Carmel In-house night call at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and Ascension St Vincent Carmel Oversight of pediatric residents and mid-level providers including NNP, PA and PNP Attendance of high-risk delivery service and consultation with high-risk mothers on the obstetric service Multiple opportunities for work in quality improvement and involvement in Vermont Oxford Network Participation in teaching curricula for medical students, pediatric residents, and advanced practice providers (NNPs and PAs) Faculty appointments within the IU School of Medicine and/or Marian University School of Osteopathic Medicine are available Competitive compensation with benefits Responsibilities
Cover a 16 bed Level III NICU at Ascension St.Vincent Carmel Hospital and support NNPs covering a nearby regional hospital level II nursery via telehealth Provide primary day-time attending coverage in NICU at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and Ascension St Vincent Carmel Conduct in-house night call at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and Ascension St Vincent Carmel Oversight of pediatric residents and mid-level providers including NNP, PA and PNP Attend high-risk delivery service and consult with high-risk mothers on the obstetric service Participate in quality improvement and Vermont Oxford Network Teach medical students, pediatric residents, and advanced practice providers (NNPs and PAs) Faculty appointments within IU School of Medicine and/or Marian University School of Osteopathic Medicine Competitive compensation with benefits Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills; coordinate discharge planning with case management Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care Accept patient referrals from other physicians; act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for hospitalized patients Participate in academic programs including medical education and research as requested Provide documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal denials timely Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, may include on-call schedules Qualifications
Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board required Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted Education
