Public Health Registered Nurse, Level 1, 2, or 3 (Based on qualifications/experience)

Provides home visiting services within the 14-county health district to identify, assess, and provide care coordination services to eligible perinatal patients and qualifying infants.
Identifies high-risk populations and tailors interventions based on the needs of the population and resources available.
Provides outstanding customer service and maintains HIPAA standards related to Privacy and Security.
Under broad supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures. Promotes the program through community engagement and outreach events.
Provides referrals and linkages to appropriate services when medical and environmental risks are identified.
Must maintain CPR certification
Responds to Public Health Emergencies
Associate degree/diploma in Nursing from an accredited college AND Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license. (Please mail or bring a copy of your College Transcript or Diploma to the Interview—you must have an official transcript prior to the start date.) This position requires the ability to lift up to 45 lbs. and the ability to bend and reach up.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s OR Master’s degree in nursing, public health, or related field from an accredited college or university
Previous employment with any state’s Department of Public Health or a County Board of Health
Experience conducting home visits and patient home assessments
Experience with providing intervention services for high-risk newborns and infantsExperience with Case Management and Community Outreach
One or more years of Labor and Delivery experience
Bilingual (Spanish and English).
A State Merit Application for Employment must be submitted to this office by the deadline. Highlight any experience relevant to the preferred qualifications.
