Location: Tuscaloosa, AL 35401
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,720–$1,840
Assignment Length: 13‑week travel nursing contract (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 2/21/2026)
Shift: 12‑hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); every other weekend and holidays required
Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours per week available)
Unit: Pulmonary Med/Surg Telemetry (36 beds, 1:6 nurse‑to‑patient ratio)
Dress Code: Solid Navy Scrubs
Parking: On‑site parking available
EMR: Meditech electronic medical records
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact State (no temporary licenses; must be verified on NURSYS)
Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred; will consider candidates with at least 18 months of nursing experience if at least 1 year is in Med/Surg Telemetry
Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed
Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality, specialized nursing care to patients with respiratory disorders, lung diseases, or injuries
Monitor and interpret telemetry data; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy
Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
Adhere to hospital policies, dress code, and safety protocols
Float to other units or hospitals as required to meet patient care needs
Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
