As the Qualified Nutritionist, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:

Resolve participant complaints or concerns; seek direction from WIC Coordinator when necessary

Ensure the efficient flow of the assessment/education process; communicate with clients when waiting time will be excessive

Review and approve medical documentation forms for Food Package III for participants in consultation with the Health Care Provider

Provide leadership in planning, conducting and evaluating participant-centered nutrition education (individual/family sessions or facilitated group discussions) responsive to the identified needs/interests of participants, especially participants whose nutrition or health concerns require an advanced level of nutrition expertise (high risk)

Will travel to outreach/satellite sites when necessary, assist in loading and unloading the WIC van, and share in driving duties of the WIC van

Fills in as a Nutrition Assistant when the need arises, performing categorical, residential and income verification for WIC participants and documents this information in NYWIC

Qualified Nutritionist Minimum Salary: $25.00

Qualified Nutritionist Maximum Salary: $26.00

Schedule

Full Impact Work Week: 5 Days, Monday - Friday

8 hour shift with 1 hour unpaid lunch

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition

1-3 years of experience working with a diverse population
