The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center OSU Harding Hospital/East Hospital-Talbot Hall provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for adults, older adults, and adolescents in central Ohio. The facility offers evaluation, diagnosis, and individualized treatment plans, with specialized services for Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Psychosis, Trauma- and Stress-Related Disorders, Sexual Dysfunction, Women’s Behavioral Health, Addictions, Trauma, Neurocognitive Disorders, and Substance Use Disorder treatment including Detox and Medication-Assisted Treatment. Talbot Hall provides addiction services and supports transition from inpatient to outpatient care through Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs. The Partial/Intensive Outpatient Programs Behavioral Health Clinician 3 role is clinical and educational, including, but not limited to: Position Summary
Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation for patients with mental health complaints referred to OSU Harding Hospital Partial/IOPs. Provide counseling/psychotherapy/psychoeducation to groups and individuals with mental and behavioral disorders to facilitate return to functioning, including group psychotherapy, individual psychotherapy, and/or couple/family therapy. Formulate individualized treatment plans to help patients determine and meet treatment goals. Advocate within the local community as needed; collaborate with the clinical team; maintain third-party payer relationships; complete all necessary paperwork (e.g., disability, FMLA). Group coverage is required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3 PM to 6 PM; the remainder of the workweek offers scheduling flexibility. Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling or related field; Independent Ohio license to practice (e.g., LISW or LPCC) is required. A minimum of two years of experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders is required. Experience and/or training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy) is preferred. Ongoing maintenance of licensure, credentials, and continuing education; practice within the Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board and Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board; training in at least one evidence-based modality will be required.
