Brief Job Duties
Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher and assist in drill and practice activities.
Participate in required workshops by request of Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.
Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions including suspension of students.
Assist in the preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, etc.
Alerts teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
Certification/License
Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education
Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education
Education Appropriate for Ed Technician Certification Level (022)
Experience Experience working with students with Developmental Delays
Live and Work in the Biddeford, Maine Community
Located along the Atlantic coastline with miles of beaches
Views of the Saco River to its west
Less than 20 minutes south of the Greater Portland Area
Less than two hours north of Boston
