Overview
Education Technician II at Biddeford Primary School. Providing academic intervention and instructional support for K-2 students.
Responsibilities
Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher and assist in drill and practice activities.
Participate in required workshops by request of Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.
Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions including suspension of students.
Assist in preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, etc.
Alert the teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
Qualifications & Requirements
Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education
Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education
Appropriate for Education Technician Certification Level
Successful prior classroom experience or working with students for the appropriate grade levels is preferred, but not required
Other Requirements
Live and work in the Biddeford, Maine community, with access to the local area and transportation options
