Construction of a course syllabus, consistent with the generic course syllabus, that stipulates course objectives, content, and grading criteria Preparation of course presentations and instructional materials for lecture, laboratory, and clinical functions (as appropriate) Delivery of instruction, including meeting courses and laboratories at scheduled times Consultation with and evaluation of students Maintenance of clear records on student performance and related factors (e.g., attendance) involved with grading Compliance with departmental and institutional policies and procedures, including submission of midterm and final grades, keeping office hours, and instructional decisions per OCCFA contract Participation in departmental decisions regarding instructional matters Participation in department and/or institutional assessments of student learning Participation in department and/or institutional surveys Participation on standing and/or ad hoc committees within the department and division Participation in college-wide activities and professional development Compliance with institutional procedures Job Requirements
Availability to teach in the evening and/or on weekends Availability to teach on Des Plaines and Skokie campuses Availability to teach online in whole or in part Minimum Qualifications

The full-time faculty workload is 30 lecture hour equivalents (LHEs) over a nine-month academic year. The average teaching load is 15 LHEs per Fall and Spring semester. The academic calendar consists of 169 working days; 153 instructional days. Four days are for instruction or final evaluations; two for grading; and one for commencement on a rotating basis. The remaining days are for professional development, course preparation, student orientation, assessment, advising, and college/departments activities. The faculty member is expected to have a minimum of 10 regular office hours per week during Fall and Spring. The College expects full-time faculty to participate in professional development and institutional/departmental service. Compensation and Benefits
The hiring range for full-time faculty is based on a 9-month contract. Additional pay is received for overloads and summer assignments. The minimum salary is $62,419 and the maximum is $85,424. A comprehensive benefit package is available, including medical, vision, and dental insurance; flexible spending; life insurance; tuition waivers/reimbursement; retirement; paid holidays; sick days; sabbatical leave; and a four-day summer work week. Appointment to a faculty position is contingent upon approval by the College's Board of Trustees. The anticipated start date is Fall 2026.
