Mobile Diesel Technician Level II . Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT Inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various truck equipment, including Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Fan clutches, Engine electronics, Diesel steering systems, Engines (gas and diesel), Transmissions (manual and automatic), Clutches, Differentials, etc. Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck equipment with diagnostic tools and test instruments; inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions; road test vehicles to verify repairs. Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck, and perform periodic reconciliation. Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre-/post-trip inspections. Engage with clients to assess needs, provide information or assistance, resolve problems, and meet expectations. Manage concurrent tasks, prioritize work activities and time allocations. Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks. Document work according to company standards and upload RO photos, parts used, and findings using an iOS device and TRAIT application. Complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion. Work independently with a daily schedule and maintain a high level of productivity within standard repair times. Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as needed. Communicate with management and support teams to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve PO numbers, and discuss RO findings. Perform all work in compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT). Keep the service truck maintained and conduct safety checks and daily pre-/post-trip inspections. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; or 5 years in a related field. Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties. Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) within 18 months. Must pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment; candidate must meet FMCSA regulations. Current and valid DOT medical card with more than four months remaining may be submitted in lieu of a DOT physical; if four months or less, a DOT physical is required. Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate operating authority and hold a valid driver’s license; able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File. Safe driver with valid driver’s license. Required Certifications

Ability to understand the implications of new information for problem solving and decision-making. Physical ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods; ability to perform moderately heavy labor. Strong communication skills and ability to convey information clearly.
