Schedule:

this is a full-time CT Tech role that works in our cancer center doing simulations. This position will work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

About the Team This is an opportunity to join a highly experienced team of healthcare professionals in the only American College of Radiology Radiation Oncology certified facility in New Mexico. This role would conduct simulations for a variety of cancers and do approximately 4-5 scans/day with the possibility of adding some diagnostic work eventually.

Responsibilities

Reviews patient history and physician's orders.

Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.

When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.

Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.

Prepares equipment and supplies.

Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.

Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).

Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.

Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.

Enters, transmits and reports scan results.

What We're Looking For Applicants should have current NM Radiologic Technologist and CT Technologist licenses and possess an associate degree in radiology technology. Additional requirements include:

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) current upon hire.

License: ARRT certified/registered in radiography and Computed Tomography (CT)

Experience: one year of experience in radiology or CT.
