Position Description We’re seeking a skilled HVAC Technician II to join a high‑performing facilities team supporting a large commercial and industrial environment. In this role, you’ll perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on complex HVAC systems ensuring reliable performance, safety, and comfort across the facility. This position is ideal for a hands‑on professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, values safety and precision, and takes pride in maintaining world‑class systems. You’ll work with advanced equipment including ACUs, AHUs, heat pumps, VAVs, DDCs, chillers, and boilers while collaborating closely with facility management to keep operations running at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems (ACUs, AHUs, heat pumps, VAVs, and DDCs).

Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize system performance to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.

Operate and maintain building management systems (BMS) for monitoring, diagnostics, and system control.

Conduct refrigerant recovery, vacuum and charging procedures, and brazing as required.

Maintain accurate service records, refrigerant logs, and preventive maintenance documentation.

Evaluate system issues, determine root causes, and recommend long‑term solutions to improve reliability.

Support major repairs and collaborate with other maintenance staff on cross‑functional projects.

Follow OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Participate in on‑call rotation for emergency maintenance and after‑hours service needs.

Required Skills / Education

High school diploma or GED required.

Completion of a certified two‑year HVAC technical program or a state‑approved HVAC license.

3‑5+ years of hands‑on experience servicing and maintaining commercial or industrial HVAC systems.

Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification required.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with chillers, boilers, and kitchen HVAC equipment.

Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Strong documentation and reporting skills with attention to detail.
