EMCOR Facilities Services (EFS), an EMCOR core business, serves over 1 billion square feet of commercial space across the United States. The HVAC Technician will perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot and service commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
Job Title: HVAC Technician II
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and monitoring of HVAC systems.
Operate and maintain BMS, refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, and charging equipment.
Analyze root causes of HVACR system problems and take corrective actions.
Maintain accurate logs of equipment operation, lubrication, refrigerant, and chemical treatments.
Assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.
Follow safety practices, use PPE, and comply with departmental policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
Attend classes and seminars, complete timesheets, and communicate effectively to determine needs.
Work on-call rotation for after-hours emergency work.
Qualifications:
High school diploma; HVAC technical certificate or state approved HVAC license.
Valid driver's license and EPA Universal Refrigeration License.
Experience working on industrial/commercial type HVAC equipment and systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to read, interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers.
