Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Dimensional Focus)
. This role is responsible for ensuring manufactured parts meet strict dimensional standards, interpreting technical drawings and CAD models, and developing efficient, accurate fixtures and processes in collaboration with design and production teams. Job Duties
Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models for dimensional accuracy Design and integrate fixtures into automated equipment, robotic systems, and assembly tools Develop ergonomic, flow-optimized manufacturing fixtures to prevent production delays Conduct tolerance stack-up analyses to maintain product precision and assembly integrity Apply and validate GD&T principles to meet quality, fit, and function standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and quality Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and equipment upgrades Support new product introductions by transitioning processes to maintenance and production teams Skills & Experience
Required 5+ years of experience applying GD&T standards in a manufacturing environment 5+ years of proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks Proven ability to conduct detailed tolerance stack-up and dimensional analyses Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, STEM, or equivalent experience Experience designing and optimizing manufacturing fixtures for automation or assembly Familiarity with robot-assisted manufacturing systems Exposure to lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies Knowledge of FMEA or DFMA principles Hands-on experience with CNC or metrology equipment About Blue Chip Talent
