Job Description The Kinetic Group is a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of small caliber ammunition under the iconic brands B&P, CCI, Federal Premium, Fiocchi, HEVI-Shot, Remington and Speer. CCI Speer, located in Lewiston, Idaho is hiring a Fleet Mechanic. This position supports the manufacturing facility by keeping Fleet vehicles serviced and operational according to manufacturer specifications.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to maintain Semi’s, Fleet trucks, Golf carts and Forklifts.
Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately as well as computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
Ability to R&R engines from basic needs to complete rebuilds to manufacturer specifications.
Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use.
Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks).
Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
Keep logs on work and issues.
Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
Non-essential
Keeps work area picked up and organized.
Train new employees to the department/area as assigned.
Performs any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 3 years with certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship or Valid certification (e.g ASE).
3+ years proven experience as auto mechanic (Truck shop / Dealership).
Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift).
Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to learn to drive a forklift safely within 30 days.
Must have a good safety record.
Must have good housekeeping and organizational skills.
Must have a current, valid Driver's License.
Ability to work independently without continual supervision.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Must not be a prohibited person under the Gun Control Act or Safe Explosives Act.
Work Environment Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.
Pay Range $39.48 - $44.24
