Electrical AutoCAD Drafter

Location: Scottsdale, AZ. Contract position from October 27, 2025 to April 30, 2026, with potential for permanent hire.
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical AutoCAD Drafter to support electrical engineering projects within the electric utility substation environment.
Responsibilities
Convert existing PDF drawings into AutoCAD format and update them as required.
Draft and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using AutoCAD.
Maintain an organized file management system to ensure all drawings are current and accessible.
Coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with project standards.
Assist in tracking drawing revisions and document control processes.
Support project documentation efforts and contribute to workflow improvements.
Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of professional drafting experience, preferably in electrical design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD with strong ability to create and modify electrical drawings.
Solid experience with schematics and wiring diagrams.
Exposure to or experience with electric utility substations is highly advantageous.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and file management discipline.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team environment.
Preferred experience working with engineering or utility design teams.
Familiarity with document control systems and drawing standards.
Pay Range: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
Hybrid schedule: split between office and remote work.
