We have an immediate need for an Assembly Technician based out of our Rochester Hills, Michigan headquarters. This is a full-time position with some opportunity for overtime. The ideal candidate will have:

Responsibilities

Wire Harness Fabrication

Comprehend cable assembly schematics and drawings

Measure, cut, and strip wires precisely

Solder, crimp, and connectorize terminals/contacts

Mechanical Assembly

Comprehend written assembly instructions, specifications, and drawings

Use hand tools, power tools, and specialty tools/equipment to assemble product

Assemble product according to specifications (follow torque specs, assembly order, etc.)

Product Packaging

Comprehend written packing slips, packaging instructions and specifications

Collect and package products according to packing slips, instructions, and specifications

Add/Remove products from stock using FIFO methodology

Prepare products for shipment

Quality Control

Comprehend, demonstrate, and adhere to quality control measures/methods and acceptability standards for cable/electronic assemblies

Test products using visual inspection, test equipment, and computer applications

Document and record test results, product information, and tracking information in a database (Excel & cloud-based applications)

Check packaged goods against packing slips and packing specifications

Communicate effectively with team & supervisors about concerns, clarifications, or suggestions
