Position Overview: The Maintenance Mechanic ensures continuous equipment effectiveness, builds team capabilities, and acts as a technical coach to line leaders and operators. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving equipment and processes to maximize flexibility and efficiency. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, with advanced technical or college training. At least 3 years of maintenance experience in an FDA-regulated environment. Knowledge of FDA Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA Safety Requirements, CMMS, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, belt drives, sprockets, mechanical components, and electrical systems. Skills in troubleshooting mechanical equipment and problem analysis. Identify faulty equipment, test, and perform repairs. Execute scheduled maintenance with reliability mechanics to optimize equipment performance. Eliminate process losses through settings and adjustments. Coach line teams and establish standards for autonomous maintenance. Translate OEM materials into operational standards and train operators. Participate in equipment reviews and daily meetings to prioritize work and reduce downtime. Maintain parts and tools inventory. Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on loss analysis. Complete maintenance reports, work orders, and SOPs, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Attend to workplace demands, including overtime, and perform other duties as assigned.
