Salary:
$44,034 – $54,034 per year.

Job Summary This position is responsible for performing highly skilled diagnostic, inspections, and mechanical repairs of electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems on automotive and heavy construction equipment.
Job Duties
Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel powered internal combustion engines.
Diagnose operational, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions.
Inspect equipment per safety and scheduled preventive maintenance checklists.
Perform preventive maintenance on engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, welding machines, paint stripers, arrow boards, paint pumps, rollers, trenchers, weed sprayers.
Operate vehicles/equipment requiring a commercial driver’s license; road test equipment after repair and maintain daily records.
Fabricate and modify equipment; drive shop truck to job sites to perform repairs.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)
Power/drive train system inspection, diagnosis, and repair.
Electrical, electronic control, and hydraulic system repair.
Computerized diagnostic analyzer use.
Internal combustion engine operating principles.
Fleet maintenance shop safety principles.
Record keeping principles.
Cutting, welding, and fabrication.
Skill In
Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, electronic, automotive/heavy construction equipment.
Operate diagnostic analyzer equipment.
Estimate time and cost of repairs.
Schedule and coordinate service to maximize utilization.
Ability To
Follow oral and written instructions.
Interpret manuals, bulletins.
Utilize PC and Microsoft office.
Manage time effectively.
Lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 90 lbs; pass physical exam.
Selective Preference
Three years of journey level experience diagnosing and repairing trucks/equipment.
ASE Master Certification preferred.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Valid Class B CDL or obtaining within 6 months.
EPA Section 609 Certification or obtain within 6 months.
Current, valid driver’s license; complete driver training; maintain acceptable records.
Maintain liability insurance per state law.
Pass E-Verify.
