AT3 is proud to partner with a well-known Aerospace and Defense Manufacturer in search for a Quality Engineer to join their team. This position reports to the Quality Manager and plays a key role in ensuring that components and materials are processed in accordance with high-level quality standards for use in finished products. The role involves leading quality initiatives, performing detailed analyses, and maintaining compliance across production and supplier operations.
Responsibilities
Lead product and component failure analyses, drive corrective actions, and oversee inspection activities in accordance with J-STD001 and IPC610 Class 3 standards. Investigate and resolve customer complaints and product reliability concerns. Conduct internal quality audits and manage corrective action programs to support compliance with AS9100 or equivalent aerospace-quality systems. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to analyze data and evaluate process performance or improvement opportunities. Coordinate and lead source inspections with customers and government representatives, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete. Oversee documentation of nonconformances, ensuring all quality issues are recorded, addressed, and resolved before product release. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to complete Failure Analysis Reports (FARs) and ensure thorough corrective action documentation. Verify that hardware and associated documentation align with approved designs and specifications. Take an active role in completing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with
AS9102
standards. Facilitate and participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities as needed. Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Quality or Manufacturing Engineering role within a regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, defense, or similar). Familiarity with hybrid manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, and workmanship standards, including
IPC610 and J-STD001 Class 3 . Experience with quality tools and methods such as statistical analysis, SPC, and Minitab (or similar software). Knowledge of structured quality systems such as
AS9100 or AS9145 , and exposure to
APQP
principles preferred. Professional certifications (ASQ, CQE) are a plus. Additional Requirements
