Job Title:

Quality Control Technician II

Location:

Worcester, MA 01605

Duration:

6 months (possible extension or conversion to full time)

Shift:

Sunday to Thursday, morning shift 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (40 hours/week)

Base pay range:

$30.00/hr – $32.00/hr

Key Responsibilities

Perform micro test methods as written to support product/material release.

Understand, implement, and maintain GMP with respect to laboratory records, procedures, and systems.

Accept responsibility to complete assigned tasks as committed.

Support investigation writers and approvers to gather data.

Write or revise procedures with guidance.

Manage own time to ensure timely completion of assigned duties under supervision.

Trend data to support trend reports.

Willing to work on weekends and holidays.

Top Skills

QC Micro experience – hands‑on lab testing and EM.

Hands‑on experience in biosafety hoods preferred.

Excellent attention to detail while running assays/tasks in the lab and performing EM.

Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload and thorough with excellent attention to detail.

Perform tasks with supervision guidance, complying with GMP requirements.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards for pharmaceutical products (e.g., USP, EP, JP, ICH guidelines, cGMP).

GMP and/or clean‑room experience.

Clean‑room gowning.

Experience with cGMP documentation and record maintenance.

Required Experience/Education

BS in Biology or related life science.

QC Micro experience – hands‑on lab testing and EM.

Attention to detail while running assays/tasks in the lab and performing EM.

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workloads.

Ability to work under supervision and comply with GMP requirements.

Flexible to work weekends and holidays.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; maintain good working relationships.

Adaptability to changing work demands and new situations.

Comfortable standing for most of the shift and traveling between buildings as needed.
