Electronics Technician 2
to join our
Security and Electronic Systems (SES)
business Unit. As part of the
(SES)
Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities Executes various technical tasks and responsibilities within field operations. Performs on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems. Ensures the functionality and reliability of various technologies. Conducts site surveys, configures hardware and software, tests systems for proper operation, and provides technical support to customers. Field Technicians must possess strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Utilizes and comprehends project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforcing adherence to M.C. Dean handbook and policies.
Analyzes and interprets complete M.C. Dean drawing packages to assess constructability, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Verifies correct charges in timesheets on projects, executing installation and maintenance activities within planned durations.
Tracks and inventories tools, conducts tool inspections and performs tool inventory at the end of each day for assigned tools and equipment.
Participates in daily ORM meetings, ensuring team compliance with safety requirements.
Participates in PITCO plan creation and build out, executing PITCO plan to include testing to verify quality.
Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and all mounting hardware components, ensuring proper grounding and adherence to NEC standards.
Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment.
Racks and stacks head end equipment, terminates and performs cable terminations and accessories to industry standards.
Communicates consistently with MC Dean Project Teams, exhibiting dedication, punctuality, and preparedness for work.
Acts as a collaborative teammate, providing and absorbing constructive feedback with internal and external customers.
Plans and prioritizes tasks effectively, understanding and embodying the M.C. Dean vision, mission, and values.
Surveys and documents existing field conditions, providing feedback and recommendations to the project team.

This position will require up to 50% travel.
Qualifications Clearance/Citizen Type:
no clearance required
Education:
HS diploma or GED; Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours)
Required Progressive Experience
4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs
Strong oral, written and presentation skills
Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams
Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives
Requires a valid driver's license; may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle
Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance with policy
Preferred Qualifications
Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch, etc.) and experience in installation of said systems
Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or Electrical Apprenticeship
3 years of above experience focused in electronic security systems
Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
