What you can expect as a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician: lead a team of technicians to produce timely, high-quality work. Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills are essential. The role emphasizes doing the job right and efficiently, managing manpower, and directing project flow. Responsibilities
Lead the team to complete necessary jobs/tasks with good judgment on day-to-day tasks and knowing when to involve management Implement a strong turnover of work to the next shift Identify opportunities to reduce aircraft turn time within your area of responsibility Train/mentor technicians assigned to your projects Supervise team members in daily workload Work independently on projects and lead multiple projects as assigned; schedule and work quality are essential, with initiative Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft and related systems (e.g., removal/installation of panels and components, repair work, sheet metal repair or installation) Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft when designated Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components when designated Assist with aircraft movement, performance runs and taxiing as required Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling to support operations Collaborate with customers in project management, pricing and customer support roles Communicate effectively in English (speaking, writing, reading) Other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management Qualifications / Requirements
Experience leading a team of technicians and directing project flow Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical orientation Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Excellent communication skills in English Mechanical and aircraft systems knowledge applicable to maintenance and repair Employment Details
