What You'll Do
As a Blaster, you will design, layout, prepare, and detonate planned explosive-related blasts with correct products, measured quantities, safe application, and effective use of explosives in accordance with the Service Operations Manual to meet customer requirements at locations serviced by Dyno Nobel Americas (DNA). You will lead the blast crew and provide on-the-job training to blasters in-training. Other duties include: Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety standards, including technical modules, DNA Surface Blasting SOP, and regulatory policies. Maintaining thorough knowledge of Dyno Nobel products, applications, and industry practices. Understanding explosives technology, geology, and seismology basics. Completing electronic blasting reports, inventory records, and documentation accurately. Using LAZER system effectively. Designing explosives use to meet customer needs. Investigating product complaints and blast performance issues, reporting findings to management. Supporting DynoConsult in developing expertise in value-in-use products and blasting technology. Assisting regional management to increase market share and revenue. Collaborating with sales teams on technical support for major accounts. Building professional relationships with internal and external customers to meet objectives and add value. Responding professionally and promptly to business requests and problems. What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Blaster license required. At least one year of related explosives industry experience. Experience as a blast crew member preferred. Willingness to pass an ATF background check to possess explosives. Minimum age of 21 years. Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, team player. What We Offer
