Job Description

The Fabricator should be able to use custom fabrication and grinding/polishing techniques at a Journeyman level for creating, designing, and fabricating custom pieces according to client specifications. They need to understand client needs, use specialized equipment to create custom pieces, and ensure final products meet quality standards. They will cut, form, layout, fit up, weld, and finish while consulting design blueprints to fabricate and install custom parts for vessel construction. They also need to inspect and test the customized vessels to ensure safety, quality, and functionality of the custom fabricated vessels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Own and help improve our performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery. Carbon Steel / Aluminum / Stainless Steel MIG and/or TIG weld at a level that meets quality standards. Must have the following weld certs: T11-01, T11-02, T14-01, MIG 21-04, and M21-05. Read engineering prints, weld symbols, and follow specifications listed therein. Basic operator preventative maintenance for welding related equipment. Maneuvering in tight and small spaces and work at heights of 15-20 ft. Capable of general grinding, polishing and finishing jobs. Performing additional work assigned by the supervisor or team leader, which may require the employee to assist in different departments. Wearing approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc. Completing assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices, including personal safety and the safety of co-workers, and the safe use of equipment in the workplace. Mentoring Welders and Grinders when needed. Tools & Equipment

Oxy/Acetylene Torch Interpret Engineering Prints Follow Standard Work Instructions Handheld Tools Hoist and Crane usage MIG and TIG (GTAW, GMAW -- including Pulse Transfer) Plasma Cutter / Gouging Grinders / Sanders Respirator/ ADF or PAPR Hood Safety Equipment required for Tasks (Safety Glasses, Earplugs, face shields, Harnesses) Grinding Tools (Disk Grinders, Expandable wheels, Dyna-files, Die Grinders, Cut off wheels, etc.) Various Cleaning Chemicals (Windex, Prep-sol, Acetone, etc.) Various Hand Polishing Tools (scotch pads, scotch belts, etc.) Qualifications

Must be able to complete following skills at a Journeyman level Reading, writing, math & verbal skills. Capable of following and understanding engineering prints, specifications & instructions. Ability to Build custom Fabrication of Stainless-steel vessels according to print. High Level Welding Capabilities and Certifications (listed above). Understanding of High-Level Fabrication processes and techniques. Ability to read a tape measure and use various layout tools (Compass, Tremmel Points, Levels, Laser Alignment Jig). Ability to work alone or as part of a group. Fabrication Tasks Performed to a Welder 4 skill level and Grinding/Polishing Tasks Performed to a Grinder 2 skill level. Physical Demands

As an employee in this position, you are regularly required to stand, walk, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle and operate controls for the length of your shift. You need a full range of motion in your arms and hands. You must be able to communicate with fellow employees. Some work in small spaces and frequently lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and good hand-eye coordination. Behavioral Attributes
