About The Role Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division is hiring a Supply Chain Planning Engineer. This position is responsible for end‑to‑end engineered value chain and S&OP activities to maximize customer service and minimize total cost‑to‑serve.
What You Will Do
Lead S&OP efforts to connect demand outlooks from aftermarket industry teams and analytical models with practical production schedules and inventory planning to maximize customer service and enterprise profitability.
Responsible for a significant cross‑section of the Caterpillar Reman product portfolio’s end‑to‑end supply chain planning.
Analyze industry and dealer trends, assess risks and identify opportunities.
Ensure that production schedules provide proper product availability to dealers/customers while balancing manufacturing constraints and financial objectives.
Work closely with the facility supply chain planning, operations and engineering personnel.
Develop recovery plans, influence outcomes and present to leaders on a regular cadence.
Maintain the accuracy of Reman’s seed forecast which feeds the monthly S&OP.
Define and lead efforts across facilities, functions and divisions requiring strong leadership, analytical, collaboration and communication skills.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or progressive professional experience in a Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations environment.
Order‑To‑Delivery experience (Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering).
Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Top Candidates Will Have
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
Deep experience with S&OP, Demand & Orders, supply‑chain planning or aftermarket.
Experience in Manufacturing / Operations, MFG Engineering, Inventory Management, MRP, Demand Management or Logistics.
Knowledge of remanufacturing process.
Experience with Power Query and Power BI.
Demonstrated multi‑functional leadership and collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong collaborative, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of 6 Sigma, Caterpillar Production System and LEAN principles.
Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures and solid product knowledge.
ASCM (APICS), CPIM or CSCP National Certification.
