Industrial Maintenance Supervisor

Direct hire for a 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor position in Gibson County, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
Interpret and read engineering blueprints.
Install new production equipment.
Service and maintain equipment including motors, conveyor and transmission systems, and other production-related equipment.
Inspect and assess the functionality of production machines.
Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns.
Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
Communicate with the production team and maintain a clean work area.
Communicate with the quality team to maintain safety/ISO documentation.
Prepare and submit maintenance reports.
Perform careful inventory and stock checks, and place orders for required material and equipment.
Maintain LOTO and Safety Hotworks programs.
Sourcing replacement parts and liaise with vendors.
Work to minimize any maintenance-related downtime.
Have working knowledge sufficient to run each piece of equipment.
Monitor product for quality conformance per product specs.
Keep machinery and workstations clean.
Possess basic understanding of high and low voltage wiring.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Duties
Communicate organizational needs.
Oversee employees’ performance.
Provide guidance and coaching.
Train new hires.
Organize workflow.
Work with management team on special projects.
Manage conflicts.
Qualifications
Degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent technical certification.
Previous experience in the industrial maintenance field.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
Computer and report-writing skills.
Basic understanding of welding processes – certification preferred but not required.
Scissor and Boom Lift experience.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and pay careful attention to detail.
