DIESEL MECHANIC
Join United Rentals Life as a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) and work on the world’s largest equipment rental fleet. As a Service Technician, you will perform maintenance and repair on complex rental equipment, advance your career, and deliver exceptional customer service.
What You’ll Do
Safely maintain and repair a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
Assist in training lower‑level technicians as needed
Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner daily
Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer‑owned equipment; maintain a clean, professional service vehicle
Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment and parts
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
3‑5 years of experience repairing and maintaining equipment and tools
Advanced mechanical aptitude and strong knowledge of tools
Strong mechanical background with various engines
Own the tools applicable to the position
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
Ability to lift up to 45 lb frequently
Compensation USD 26.85 - 38.70 per hour
