Your Role As a Diesel Technician II, you’ll take on a key role in maintaining and servicing our luxury motorcoach fleet, stepping beyond basic maintenance into independent diagnostics and repairs. You’ll work on large diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, suspension, HVAC, and more - developing the confidence and skill to handle motorcoach systems with minimal supervision. This is the level where techs start to truly own results. You’ll be trusted to take initiative, solve problems, and help keep our fleet safe, reliable, and high-performing. Perform preventative maintenance and mid-level repairs on diesel engines, air brakes, HVAC, drivetrain, and suspension systems Troubleshoot and repair 12V and 24V electrical systems, including alternators, batteries, and basic wiring issues Diagnose common mechanical failures and identify next steps for resolution Inspect and adjust air brake systems to ensure safety and compliance Use diagnostic tools to isolate system issues and support more complex repairs Collaborate with senior technicians to improve workflows and solve recurring issues Communicate technical findings clearly and assist lower-level techs when needed Document all work performed, including recommendations and parts needed Minimum Requirements

Typically requires 2+ years of diesel repair experience - but candidates with fewer years will be considered if they can demonstrate the ability to perform all responsibilities at this level Strong understanding of diesel systems and components Experience working with large diesel engines such as Volvo, Cummins, or Detroit Comfortable using wiring diagrams, schematics, and diagnostic tools Nice to Have

Experience working on motorcoaches or similar vehicles Ability to read and use wiring diagrams, schematics, and diagnostic tools Familiarity with power distribution systems, HVAC diagnostics, or generator setups Interest in growing into Diesel Tech III with full diagnostic and repair capability Seniority level
