Job Summary:
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, compliance with safety regulations, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and code specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
Install, replace, or repair wiring, switch boxes, conduits, receptacles, network/coaxial cable assemblies, lighting systems, and other electrical components.
Test equipment for continuity, voltage, resistance, and current using appropriate testing tools.
Install and service switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, regulators, and electrical control systems (hydraulic/pneumatic).
Support Engineering by providing feedback and participating in product improvements and system upgrades.
Execute field installations, commissioning, servicing, and warranty repairs.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and maintain appropriate documentation.
Maintain inventory records and conduct cyclical counts of electrical components.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA and NEC regulations and safety standards.
Requirements
Must hold a valid Contractor's License or Journeyman Electrician License issued by the State Government (can be of any state).
Minimum of 5 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience.
OSHA 10/OSHA 30 is an asset.
Previous experience in power generation, energy, oil & gas, or control panel assembly preferred.
Proficient in the use of conduit bending, cabling, and related electrical hardware.
