The Senior Maintenance Manager directs all maintenance activities for assigned aircraft, ensuring technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost objectives are met. The role involves project planning, staffing, progress reporting, people management and troubleshooting for aircraft maintenance projects. Minimum Requirements
A&P Certificate mandatory 5–7 years of aviation maintenance experience Familiarity with CFR 14 Parts 21, 43, 91, and 135 maintenance requirements Airport ID badge eligibility 5+ years of Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations Strong written reporting and correspondence skills Main Responsibilities
Lead or coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, and people management for aircraft maintenance projects. Ensure project results meet technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost requirements. Provide technical support to industry engineers and scientists. Develop and recommend procedures, methods, and technical documentation. Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and manage documentation. Communicate maintenance schedules and budgets with flight crew, schedulers, and dispatchers. Accept, reject, and dispose of all work performed on assigned aircraft and components. Represent Jet Aviation externally with regulatory bodies and industry groups. Desired Characteristics
Experience with SAP (preferred). Strong project management skills. Self‑educator and motivator. Customer‑centric mindset. College or equivalent technical training (2 years preferred). Employee must use hands and fingers to handle and reach; stand, walk, or sit frequently. Occasionally climb or balance, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjustment and focus skills. Work Environment
Work occurs in heavy maintenance environments and upscale customer areas. Noise level is moderate with occasional high volume. Employee is exposed to vibration and occasional fuel fumes. Weather conditions may vary and noise level can be loud. Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons. Compensation
Salary range: $165,000–$175,000, based on experience and location. Benefits
