Grade 3 Maryland Certified Boiler Operator/ Utilities Technician — Dietz and Watson Our Baltimore location is expanding and adding machinery. We are seeking a Maryland Certified Grade 3 Boiler Utilities Technician who will be directly responsible for maintaining and repairing boilers, performing water testing, and monitoring ammonia and steam systems in a food processing environment. Shift: 1st shift (5:00 AM). In this role you will use your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to identify and fix issues, ensuring the optimal performance of machines and minimizing downtime. Responsibilities

Maintain and repair boilers and related plant utilities in a food processing environment. Perform water testing and monitor ammonia and steam systems. Visually inspect thermal boilers and ensure proper operation. Collaborate with maintenance technicians and engineering staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Daily rounds of all plant utilities. Repair, replace, and maintain the physical structure of equipment. PM HVAC and rooftop ventilation. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals. Repairing and maintaining pumps and piping components as needed (e.g., diaphragm pumps, metering pumps, vertical multistage and horizontal centrifuge pumps). Monitor and troubleshoot automation and modern automated equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot water delivery systems and steam systems. Follow safety and environmental policies; ability to work in a cold storage environment (production rooms at 32 degrees or below in certain areas). Demonstrate physical capability to bend, twist, squat, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform required movements during shift. Collaborate with facility teams; military experience welcomed. Qualifications

3 years' experience with 3-phase induction motors. Experience repairing 200 HP Fire Tube Boilers (three units). Ability to troubleshoot and repair modern automated equipment. Experience interpreting blueprints, schematics, and manuals. Experience visually inspecting thermal boilers. Capability to monitor and troubleshoot ammonia systems and steam/water delivery systems. Experience with daily rounds of plant utilities and preventive maintenance on HVAC and rooftop ventilation. Proficient in handling and threading pipe fittings, metering pumps, and related components. Ability to repair diaphragms and perform water tests. Experience in a cold storage environment; ability to withstand cold temperatures. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; frequent bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling. Military experience welcomed. Benefits
