Overview
INSTRUCTOR - Site Supervisor - After-School All-Stars role at City of Orlando Careers. This role manages the daily operations of an Orlando ASAS after-school and/or summer program, ensuring educational, behavioral, and financial objectives are met for staff, youth, families, and the public. Supervisory work is performed under the direction of the Orlando ASAS Program Coordinators. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, and ensuring student and staff safety. Work is sometimes outdoors and may involve exposure to heat, insects, and weather; evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required. Performance is evaluated through reports, observations, performance evaluations, and conferences. Job Posting End Date: 08-31-2025. Applications will no longer be accepted starting on this date. $15.00 - $20.00 Hourly Work Hours
School Year - Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 9:30 am / 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Summer - Monday through Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Responsibilities
Plan, organize, coordinate and supervise all activities and services offered at an Orlando ASAS program site. Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of site staff and program scheduling, payroll, inventory, and youth attendance. Coordinate with partnering middle schools or community center administration for facility use, program scheduling and collaboration of services. Ensure proper implementation of Orlando ASAS policies and procedures in operations and curriculum at the program site. Monitor and ensure adherence to Orlando ASAS program goals and objectives at the site. Minimum Qualifications
Pursuing a degree in Recreation or related field, plus one year of experience in program management, or one year of supervisory experience in the educational, recreation or leisure services field overseeing various activities (educational programs, youth sports, aquatics, cultural and therapeutic arts, health and fitness, community centers, etc.) A valid Florida Driver License is required. First Aid and CPR certifications desired. Certification by the Florida Recreation and Park Association preferred. This is a part-time position with no guarantee of a certain number of hours and no benefits. This position involves working on a temp/seasonal contract which can be renewed annually based on performance and business need.
