Overview
Cat Scan Technician role at St. Joseph's Health. Responsible for performing routine CT exams in inpatient and/or outpatient settings in accordance with established protocols for positioning, image quality, and radiation safety. Utilizes a variety of equipment including CT scanners, power injectors, as well as computers and various software programs to enter patient-related information into hospital databases. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skill.

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
ARRT in CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required within twelve months of working in that modality.
State of New Jersey licensure in Radiologic Technology required.
Analytical ability to resolve problems that require basic mathematical or technical principles and in-depth experience-based knowledge.
Ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families.
