Michael Baker International is seeking a talented Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our expanding Alaska team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our Transportation and Federal design practices, contributing to impactful projects in a dynamic environment. About Us Our first Alaska office opened in 1942, and since then, we have played a significant role in major infrastructure projects across the state, including work on the North Slope and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System. We focus on cold regions engineering and provide services in pipelines, transportation, civil, architecture, hydrology, geotechnical, permitting, regulatory compliance, GIS, and LiDAR mapping. Our offices are located in Anchorage and Fairbanks, and we collaborate extensively with our colleagues across the United States. Responsibilities Design and oversee roadway, bridge, rail, aviation, and civil site projects. Participate in environmental assessments, planning, and public involvement activities. Support the design of oil & gas pipelines and facilities. Collaborate with the water resources team on various projects. Manage project scope, schedule, and budgets for civil projects. Oversee project delivery from design to construction support. Lead technical aspects of design projects, ensuring quality and accuracy. Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams. Identify new business opportunities, develop proposals, and build client relationships. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field. Licensed Professional Engineer in Alaska. More than 10 years of technical design experience and project management in civil engineering. At least 5 years of supervisory experience leading technical teams. Experience with alternative project delivery methods like Design/Build is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Established client relationships and ability to develop new ones. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Blue Beam, and familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and GIS applications. Compensation and Benefits The salary range is $115,000 - $200,000, depending on experience.
