Role Description This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to shape the development of next-generation AI systems by contributing deep technical insight into mechanical principles and applications. As an AI Tutor – Mechanical Engineering Specialist, you will use specialized tools to label and evaluate data, helping train AI models to understand complex mechanical systems, designs, and problem-solving processes.

Collaborate closely with technical teams to refine workflows, design annotation tools, and select challenging engineering problems that enhance AI model performance.

Qualifications

Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field

Strong ability to read and write both formal and informal English

Skilled in using online databases, research tools, and technical resources

Ability to work independently and make well-reasoned decisions with limited guidance

Demonstrated passion for technology, innovation, and scientific advancement

Requirements

Use proprietary tools to label, annotate, and evaluate AI-generated data related to mechanical engineering

Provide expert feedback on technical problems and ensure the delivery of high-quality, curated datasets

Based in Palo Alto, CA (in-office, 5 days per week) or fully remote with strong self-management skills

Remote workers must use a personal computer that meets one of the following requirements: a Chromebook, a Mac running macOS 11 or newer, or a Windows PC running Windows 10 or newer
