Job Overview Help invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely as a GE Aerospace intern or co‑op! As part of a safety‑focused team, you will work on challenging, real‑world problems to design aircraft engines for commercial and military applications, and support them through their service life. You will build professional and technical skills in an engineering role, with access to mentorship and training programs. Collaborate with other interns and leaders while preparing for a potential full‑time position after graduation.

Responsibilities

Design, analysis, development and testing of engine components.

Life‑management and maintenance planning.

Aerodynamic and thermodynamic design of engine systems.

Performance, stress and vibration analysis.

Engine testing and services engineering.

Engine controls, electric design and materials research.

Qualifications

Prior GE Aerospace internship experience required.

Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA off a 4.0 scale without rounding.

Attending a full‑time matriculated and nationally accredited bachelor’s or graduate program in engineering (e.g., Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent.

Willingness and ability to work in the United States (primarily Cincinnati, OH or Lynn, MA).

Reliable transportation; many sites do not have public transportation available.

Desired Characteristics

Upperclassmen preferred.

Strong engineering aptitude and passion for aerospace technology.

Analytical problem‑solving skills.

Proficiency in computer tools and Microsoft products.

Experience with at least one programming language.

Humble, respectful, receptive, agile, and eager to learn.

Transparent, honest, and constructively collaborative.

Focused, quick learner, and takes initiative.

Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision‑maker, and team player.

Critical thinker who challenges existing processes.

Benefits Pay rates begin at $20/hour and increase for each undergraduate year completed. Relocation support and housing assistance are available for those who relocate to a new city.
