NG- Military Internship Program (SkillBridge):

It’s designed as a pathway for motivated military candidates to potentially transition into full-time roles at Northrop Grumman after their service. While participating in SkillBridge, service members continue to receive their military compensation and benefits.
Internship Position: Aircraft Structures Mechanic – Level 1
This internship role is within the E-2D Manufacturing and Production Organization, located in Saint Augustine, Florida.
Responsibilities:
• Performing a variety of operations to assemble and make major aircraft structures, such as fuselage panels, bulkheads, and structural subassemblies.

Reading and understanding blueprints. •
Translating blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies, including precision drilling, countersinking, and using calibrated tools. •
Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. •
Performing part-fitting operations (filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming). •
Measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. • Modifying incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes and verifying quality. • Required ability to be certified for a half & full face respirator. •
Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends. Requirements: • High School diploma or GED and hobby/technical related experience in mechanical, sheet metal, composites, body work, electrical, or other dexterous activities and 1 year of related aerospace or Military experience •
Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead •
Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment. •
Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation in order to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements. •
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret DoD Clearance within a reasonable period of time Making job hunting smarter, faster, and way more fun.
