Lead heavy civil and transportation construction projects from pre-construction through close-out, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract specifications and OSHA safety requirements. Serve as the primary liaison between ownership, superintendents, clients, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication, accurate financial tracking, and proactive problem-solving. Pre-Construction: attend internal project hand-off and external pre-construction meetings; ensure project documentation (contracts, files, pay items, cost codes) is accurate and set up in project management systems; submit and track submittals, certifications, and specifications; create purchase orders; oversee utility locate requests; review project scope and align production goals with superintendents. Project Execution & Oversight: manage day-to-day construction activities, budgets, and project finances; monitor daily production quantities, crew hours, and equipment usage; coordinate with primary contractors on work staging and scope changes; support field superintendents and conduct site visits to ensure quality and safety; attend weekly progress meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders and ownership. Change Orders, T&M, and Force Account Work: identify additional work or scope changes; submit RFQs and change orders; manage Time & Materials documentation and billing; coordinate Force Account work with Resident Engineers and submit documentation for billing. Billing & Financial Management: prepare and submit pay estimates, review vendor invoices, reconcile cost codes and material tickets, forecast financials, and maintain budgets and progress reports throughout the project lifecycle. Post-Construction: reconcile final quantities, address variances, ensure all change orders and extra work are billed, coordinate demobilization of equipment, and participate in project close-out meetings. Technology & Innovation: utilize GPS, UAV (drone), and related technologies for layout, monitoring, and reporting; troubleshoot GPS systems and manage drone program data, ensuring certification requirements are met. Leadership & Mentorship: manage and support superintendents and field supervisors; mentor new Project Managers; assist leadership with reporting, communications, and training materials. Qualifications

5+ years of construction experience, preferably in heavy civil or transportation. 3+ years of proven project management experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with project management or HCSS software is preferred. Knowledge of GPS, UAV (drones), and construction layout technology is a plus. Understanding of estimating practices and procedures is beneficial. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and project billing.
