Mechanical Engineer - HVAC We’re looking for a

Mechanical Engineer

with strong HVAC and plumbing design experience to join our team. In this role, you’ll integrate document production with detailed systems knowledge while gaining advanced practice in three‑dimensional Revit system design. You’ll work on projects ranging from small to mid‑size and take them from concept through final design with minimal oversight.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise with creative problem‑solving, while collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and clients.

Position Salary Range* The expected salary range for this position is $ 80,000

to $ 95,000

annually.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field.

5+ years of relevant experience in HVAC and plumbing design.

Licensed Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain via committee).

Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (VAV, VRF, heat pumps, rooftop units, etc.).

Experience with hydronic piping, pump/fan selection, and duct sizing.

Familiarity with heating and cooling load calculation software.

Strong knowledge of plumbing system design and building codes.

Ability to deliver high‑quality client service and manage projects with minimal oversight.

Position Responsibilities

Design HVAC and plumbing systems from concept to completion with minimal guidance.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and drafters to deliver high‑quality construction documents.

Develop initial concepts, perform load calculations, and create specifications.

Conduct site assessments, building analysis, and prepare engineering reports.

Lead design of ductwork, piping systems, pump/fan selection, and equipment sizing.

Write project specifications and prepare cost estimates.

Represent the firm in client meetings, strategy sessions, and on‑site construction observation.

Ensure compliance with all relevant mechanical and plumbing building codes.

Salary and Incentives *Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job‑related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.

***The majority of the time, a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist, and reach.
