Service Technician – Momentum BMW/MINI at Momentum BMW
We are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance on German automotive brands, primarily BMW, Volkswagen, and Audi. The role entails troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring customer safety and satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic issues.
Carry out repairs such as engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, and HVAC work.
Test drive vehicles after repairs to verify proper function.
Replace or repair key components including spark plugs, filters, brake pads, rotors, belts, and hoses.
Perform routine maintenance tasks: oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and alignment adjustments.
Identify safety concerns or additional services needed for customer safety.
Collaborate with the service advisor to determine necessary work and ensure timely completion.
Communicate with the parts department to order required parts.
Track and label parts for warranty purposes or customer requests.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience as an automotive service technician with German brands (BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, etc.).
Previous dealership experience.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Authorized to work in the USA.
Ability to pass pre‑employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous BMW experience.
BMW brand certifications.
Compensation
$25.00 – $40.00 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and skill level.
Tenure Bonus Program: starting at 6 months, earn up to $3.50 per hour on each flat‑rate hour worked; bonus increases with tenure and is paid annually.
Schedule
Full‑time.
Sundays always off.
Saturday availability required.
