Plant maintenance/mechanic position responsible for inspecting and diagnosing issues with machinery and performing preventative maintenance/repair of aggregate plant processing equipment, including stationary machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems, shakers, pumps, gearboxes, etc. As a plant maintenance/welder, you may perform roles including fabrication, welding, cutting, grinding, greasing, housekeeping, and other shop or processing duties. Operates cranes, man-lifts, hoists, pneumatic and hand tools, cutting torches, welding equipment, and other specialty service equipment as needed. May order parts through maintenance department or outside suppliers. THIS IS A NIGHT SHIFT POSITION, BASED IN MANOR, TX ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Take an active role in plant safety initiatives Ensure a safe work environment for self and others Maximize performance of stationary equipment through repairs and preventative maintenance Complete backlog process in coordination with Supervisor and/or Plant Manager Maintain required paperwork to ensure equipment and plant operation standards are met Inspect and maintain maintenance trucks and ensure good housekeeping Prioritize safety, quality, then production Conduct MSHA pre-shift safety inspections Perform repairs on pumps and other equipment, ensuring preventative maintenance is completed timely Train and coach other employees on maintenance practices EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1 to 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty maintenance or equivalent training, preferably in the aggregates industry High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to perform duties safely Effective reading, writing, and communication skills Ability to communicate via two-way radio or signals regarding vehicle and equipment movement Self-starter with minimal supervision Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills Proficiency with oxy/acetylene torch, stick, MIG welding Ability to identify and order basic parts Capability to fabricate in steel and perform field layouts Ability to wear personal protective equipment Ability to work 8-12+ hour shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays Proficiency with various hand and power tools Ability to work outdoors and at heights PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Climb stairs/ladders, reach, stoop, squat, stand, balance, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, push, and pull Operate controls and equipment with hands and feet Perform overhead reaching, lift objects up to 50 lbs, carry for 150 ft, and work at heights up to 100 feet Visual acuity for depth perception and color differentiation WORKING CONDITIONS

Work outdoors in all weather conditions, with exposure to noise levels up to 85 dB. Work may involve dusty environments and high noise levels. DISCLAIMER
